A Cluster Report complements an Overview by analyzing a group of sites or activities that are in close geographic proximity to each other.

In the Kairos Information Hub, Cluster Reports are geographic analyses based on satellite imagery and SIAS Global's proprietary technology to evaluate sites efficiently and in ways that would not be easily possible during a “boots-on-the-ground” visit.

Cluster Reports identify groups of permits that are in close geographic proximity to each other, or clustered, as a means to identify relationships and infrastructure reliance among them, as well as estimate overall financial exposure, or a Cost to Reclaim Estimates (CTRE), and asset evaluation. When permits are closely grouped, usually within 2 to 3 miles of each other, they often share infrastructure and likely have other operational dependencies. Evaluating these permits as a cluster, rather than evaluating each unit in isolation, provides a better understanding of total bond exposure, particularly from a CTRE perspective because heavy equipment can be centralized and infrastructure can be shared. From a risk-management perspective, assets and reserves can be balanced across multiple sites in the context of geographic relationships, as well as subsets of total operator exposure.
